VCR DX

The following spectrum recordings were originally made on HiFi Video Cassette Recorders in the late 1980s and early 1990s by “DXers”–radio enthusiasts who enjoy receiving and identifying distant radio or television signals. Many thanks to Mark Connelly who not only preserved these recordings, but also kindly digitized them so that we can share them online as a part of the Radio Spectrum Archive.

To use these recordings, you’ll need to download an SDR application like HDSDR. All of these recordings are in the .WAV format.
